Un encargo o una comisión es una obra de arte creada específicamente para ti; para tu disfrute personal, fines decorativos, como regalo o como parte de un proyecto creativo más amplio. Encargar una obra de arte permite a una persona, negocio u organización obtener una pieza de arte personalizada que tiene un significado y una importancia especial. Permíteme crear una pintura única para tu hogar u oficina.
El Proceso
1. The Conversation
Every commission begins with a conversation.
We talk about the place, memory, or idea that inspires the work — what it means to you, how it lives in your memory, and why it matters now.
Photographs may be shared, but they are used as reference, not instruction. The focus is on meaning rather than accuracy.
2. Concept & Direction
Based on our conversation, I develop a conceptual direction for the painting. This includes the intended atmosphere, scale, and overall feeling of the piece.
Rather than designing a fixed image in advance, this stage establishes a shared understanding of intention and scope.
You will receive:

framing and delivery options (if applicable)
3. Agreement & Deposit
Once the direction is aligned, a 50% deposit is required to begin the work.
This secures your place in my schedule and covers materials and preparation.
4. The Painting Process
The painting develops over time.
You may choose how involved you wish to be during this phase:

Receive occasional progress updates

Or experience the work as a complete reveal once finished
Both approaches are welcomed. The process is designed to feel intentional, not rushed.
5. Completion & Reflection
When the painting is complete, I will share the final piece along with a written reflection that explains the symbolism and decisions behind the work.
At this stage, minor refinements can be discussed if needed, always in alignment with the original intention of the piece.
6. Final Payment & Delivery
Once the work is complete, the remaining balance is due.
The painting is then carefully prepared for delivery or shipping, according to what we’ve arranged.
I work on a limited number of commissioned pieces each year to ensure each one receives the time and attention it deserves.
